‘Hey Ly, why are you leaving so early in the morning’.Ash rubs his eyes; he never wakes up this early before.
‘You silly boy, what is early when it’s a quarter to seven, I’m late for school if you don’t mind’. Ash now is fresh as ever. ‘What is school again?’.
‘I don’t have time to tell you’. Layla sprint down the hill hoping that she will find a telephone booth.
‘There’, Layla grab the handle and search for her purse. Layla rub her pocket here and there but to her dismay it’s nowhere to be found.
‘God why did you hate me’, Layla start to panic if she couldn’t inform her grandparents she stays overnight at someone else’s place she maybe in a big trouble.
‘Hai, Ly’. Layla jump with fright.
‘Ash do you have to scare me to death like that?’ Ash chuckle, his little trick works out just like he wanted it.
‘I just want to give you this’, Ash hand over the pink purse. Lela smile with delight.
‘Thanks, Ash’, Layla quickly dial her grandparents number.
‘Hello? Hey grandma yes I’m sorry that… what!! Who told you that?.’ Suspicious look start to appear. Ash starts to get worry to. Layla slam the handle with frightens face.
‘What’s wrong Ly?’, Layla crouch down slowly.
‘Ly do you mind telling me what’s bothering you’. Tears start to form in her eyes Ash shudders with fear. He hates it when girls start to cry.
‘They found her’.
‘Who find who?’ Layla brush her bangs with disgust.
‘I just couldn’t go back to school right now’. Ash seat right next to her.
‘Why wouldn’t you?.’
‘The bullies there find out I live where and they lied to my Grandma that I was a crazy woman’.
‘Why would they’. Layla hit the clueless boy head.
‘How can you be so slow in a time like this. I ran away from class into a forest in the middle of a school time.You certainly not the person I need to talk to?'.
Layla stand up and start to walks away. Her face isn’t jolly as usual. That makes Ash feels sad. From afar he could hear a loud screech coming from Burn.
‘What’s up with Ms. Sunshine over there?'. Even Burn notices the sad face.
‘Nothing. but I have a favor to be done’. Ash whispers something to Burn and they nod. Burn thinks the plan is crazy but if Ash is serious nothing can out any sense in him.
‘But she never merge with any spirits of her before, how can she merge with me?’
‘Not a big deal actually’. Burn stare Ash with a blank eye. ‘You seriously insane you now that’. Ash just smirk, his next plan probably will be epic. Burn sigh, it curses itself for getting involved with one of Ash crazy scheme. Layla just don’t have to gut to go to school anymore what they had done really hurt her feelings. What’s worse she going to be late. The bell going to ring in three minutes and she is miles away. If only she have some kind of jetpack or something that might made her day a teeny weensy bit better than it already is but she doubt that will ever happen. Layla turn around when she heard a familiar screech.
‘Burn?.’
Yup her guess is right, Burn flies through her. Layla can feel the power surging through her body, the flame that will warm her cold body for a moment. Without she realize it, she already set off through the skies. Layla open her glittering yellow eyes.
‘I feel great, but where is burn’.
Out of nowhere she heard Burn calling her name.
‘I’m here, Layla you have enter my body now will you give me your school coordinates?’.
‘Like hell would I know the coordinates’? Burn grunt. This girl, really getting on its nerve.
‘Well, at least tell me the direction’.
‘Could you please fly lower’? Burn just follow her every command.
‘After that traffic light turn right’. It only takes then a few minute to arrive at her school’.
Just to be precise it took them one minute.
‘Thanks Burn’.
‘Hey, Layla Ash told me to tell you he is sorry that he hurt your feelings in any way and here let me fix the ragged clothes of yours’.

After that, Burn takes off into the clear blue skies. Layla run through the pack of pupils. She catches her breath, when she sees her classroom door. Negative thought come rushing through her mind, Layla quickly wipe it away.
‘Positive, positive,’ Layla mumble under her breath. She enters the room with a shock. Her night mare just comes haunting herself.
‘What are you doing here in my class!!!?’ Layla points towards the handsome blonde boy with really great body not to mention his prince smile. Every girl could fall for him but Layla. Let just say she had enough of that junk.
‘Hey, watch your mouth newbie, he’s Jone Crawford the school prince’.
‘Like I care if he is’, Layla didn’t feel intimidate at all. She could fight them all in her sleep.
‘Why you!!!’, all the girls in her class turn on their attack mode with sharp claws and vampire like teeth. They are about to attack Layla. She seriously didn’t feel afraid at all even though she had live with the fact thirteen versus one.
‘Ladies, stop! It just Layla, I don’t mind her words and neither should you all’.
Layla feel like she going to barf when the girl say 'aww' in cute yet irking way. Jone slam her desk. Layla has to admit his action receive her attention.
‘What do you want’, Layla feel disgusted when he uses one of his stupid smile.
‘Wow, I’m impress that you didn’t fall for me’. Layla give Jone one of her signature grin.
‘Tell me why should I?’ Layla search through her back packs for earplugs. Her finger found something little like a bead. Layla took it out. The bead reminds her of Ash. It also reminds her of her rude ways of treating Ash earlier. When Layla finishes daydreaming Jone still isn’t finish with his bragging and stuff.
‘Are you done Mr. Crawford?’ Jone gulp, Layla chuckle as slow as she could.
‘Busted’, she said under her breath. Jone grit his teeth. He give Layla one of his I will get you stare. Layla reply with I want to see you try stare. During the first period, Layla feel some strange energy roaming around the school. It's like Burn and Ash merge together but there’s still something off with it.
‘Earth to Layla, are you there?’ Amanda knocks her forehead a few times before she realizes the teacher is standing right in front other.
‘Ms. Frost are you daydreaming in my class?’ Layla shake her head like they want to fall off. The teacher sighs.
‘I just hope something wouldn’t bother you right after yesterday accident’. Layla jaw drop open, she thought that they have forgotten about it. After the classes are over Princess I want to bother you come.
'Hey missy why did you have to come and ruin our day with Jone'.
'Pffttt, hahahaha', that stunned all the other diva.
'What's so funny did you wire in your brain somehow short cut itself or something?’.
'NNNOO, I'm laughing because you guys are fools'.
'What!!’ they say in unison. They just couldn't believe that a commoner just say that to them the rich people.
'Nothing personal but you guys just wasting your time with him, because he will play you like a toy. Didn't you guys see that earlier?’. The girls were left dumbfounded when Layla says that. One they are mad because she insults their prince, second because she acts as if she knows him for quite a while.
'Get out of my way you birdbrain', Ash push Burn away from his view.
'Ash are you sure that Layla wouldn't be mad we sneaking around in her school'.
'Yeah, I know she wouldn't because I'm her friend right'.
'Right', Burn roll his eyes. He know Layla will be really cross if she found out that they are sneaking in her private life.
'Hey she's talking to one of her friends.' Ash moves the bush closer to the wall to get a much better hearing of their conversation.
'Burn did you hear that, they are having Gymnastic for physical education'.
Burn peck Ash ear, 'we better leave now before Layla find out we sneaking on her'. Burn stop, Burn feels that weird energy that surrounds the place. 'Did you feel that?’ Ash nod. The same energy they feel in Echantros.
