'Grrr, if only Ash didn't do that much damage', Layla sigh. She turn off the shower. Layla put on the towel and her nighttime gown. It's plain purple. She make herself some hot coco and sit in the middle of her new house.

'If only Ash isn't that dumb and reckless, plus Burn didn't have the ability to fix things now. I wonder what happen, It's happen after we find him in the shed near my school compound. I wonder if something happen'.

Layla jerk herself up when she hears somebody whining in her bedroom. Layla takes her daggers and tip toe slowly. She doesn't want to attack up front, that might give her some disadvantage but if she use a stealth the enemy will be afraid. She open her door ajar, she manages to see a big bump on her bed. A bump like a human body. Only one person cross her mind that time.

'Ash!!!', the room shakes causing the bird and the trespasser to crash on the floor. Ash fall head first and cause a hole through the floor where Zeirra bathroom is. He nose bleed at what he sees.

'Ash!!! you going to pay!!!!', Zeirra draw out her thunder sword and hit Ash with a 2000000mm dark volt lightning and sent him flying through the roof half burn. Layla just watch helplessly when her floor and ceiling have two enormous holes that needs to be fix. 'You wouldn't stop following me right'.

'Yeah', Burn says as he dip himself into Layla's pool.

'don't just enter somebody's bathroom'.

'Hey do you have something to eat here', Ray rummage through her fridge.

'Where did you come from and stop searching for food here! What do you think this is a hotel or something!!!'.

'So this is a hotel', Zeirra takes a sip of her tea and much another dozen of her cupcakes. Layla clench her fist and veins start to pop up on her palms and forehead. 'These buffoons doesn't even know the meaning of privacy now do they', she says in her heart.

'Get off my room', swirling golden light surrounds Layla and her daggers, the daggers turn from a rusty old ones into something legendary. The blade is golden in color and have a blue outline. The tip is sharper than any kind of sword. The handle is crystallize and sparkle with dark purple color. All of the watch in horror except for Ash as shadows wraps around Layla leaving her eyes bloodshot.

'Ray!', Ray flinched, he shakes like there's no tomorrow everytime Layla use that evil voice.

'Y-Yes', he stammered. Layla points her daggers at him and a thin golden light shot through his stomach. 'Ack', he waits for the pain to rush in but he feels nothing. Ray opens his eyes only to see his body start to clean off the mess. Burn has the same fate as him but not Zeirra.

'Hey! why didn't Zeirra do anything??', Zeirra put down her teacup and looks Ray with intimidating eyes.

'I-I better get back to work', he try to forget the eyes that scare his soul away. He can't control his body, it seems that Layla has cast the rebounding spell. After two hours of nos stop cleaning the room is back to normal. Ray pant heavily on the ground because their energy has been suck out.

'Here, have some milk and cookies', Layla hand over the fresh baked cookies. Ray stare into her eyes. This time the bloodshot eyes is gone, instead a golden sparkling eyes. Ray takes the cookies with a blush on his face. 'Sorry', Layla brush his hair. Ray just nibble the cookies with the red color covering half of his face.

'Ray like Layla...', Burn chime. Ray quickly grab the bird neck and torment him. Layla chuckle, right now her mood had change when she hears something or someone singing. After awhile the fight is over, sure many furniture is drown and Burn but the both of them sure does have a great time mowing the lawn with nail clippers and the all mighty sword wielder behind them threatening to kill the daylight out of them.

'That is fun but I wonder where did Ash end up?', Layla pull the blanket and use the whining sounds of her friends to lull her to sleep. 'They certainly are a nice bunch of folks'. If you still wandering where Ash end up, keep on reading.

'Bastard! I'll get you for this Zeirra', Ash scream at the edge of a mountain a hundred miles away From their guild.

....................................................................................................

'Where is Zeirra', Ash burn the Guild door. The members gawked at the sight. His hairs is messier that normal, he looks haggard with torn up clothes here and there and scars. Not to mention the piranha biting his left butt cheeks. 'Ash, maybe you should calm down for a bit', Layla touch his cheek. Ash grunt, he don't want to fight like this. He probably loses in a single strike. Layla bring Ash to the nearest stool and bandage his wounds.

'You shouldn't have holed my room floor, you know'. Ash didn't say a word. He keep thinking about something else. Layla sigh, she hates it when someone didn't pay attention to her. Layla slap the wound. Ash shriek in pain. 'Why did you do that for', Layla put on her poker face and keep on bandaging the boy.

'Ash, why did you choose me to be your partner in the first place?'.

Ash stop a while before answering the question. 'Well... you are kind of scary, intimidating and very dangerous'. Dark aura surround the guild changing the atmosphere rapidly, everyone can feel the uneasy feeling coming from the golden hair girl.

'But you are kind, happy-go lucky person, cute and strong.', Ash smile. Layla blush and look away. This time the atmosphere is warm. 'My oh my, it's seems that our newcomer has fallen in love', Myra fan girl. Ray spit his drink.

'What! there's nobody dumb enough to fall for Ash brain', Ray turn around. His heart burns. Why is he feeling this way? he doesn't have a clue but for sure he needs to do something. Ray form a water ball on his palm and strike for Ash's face but instead he hits something much more worst.

'Ray!!! You better have some explanation for this', Zeirra scowl with her fist shaking to beat the crap out of him.

'I-I', Ray didn't get to continue a sword already send flying towards him. Ray gulp. He better run for it before the rampaging monster come after him. Soon enough Zeirra did run out of the guild following the tracks. Myra just shake her head. This guild people is insane in their own way.

'Myra, some juice here and a chicken hot soup please', Layla order from afar. She seems to be busy taking care of the whiny baby. Ash just come down with a flu. 'Ly, I don't wanna a soup I wanna hot chili'. Layla keep on dapping the wet clothe without saying another word. She knows the more she reply the more his whining will come out.

'Where is Burn with that medicine', she mumble under her breath.

'Here', Myra put down the soup. Layla reluctantly take it and feed Ash. Ash refuses so Layla use force by opening his mouth with her bare hands but the didn't work. She stomp his feet that didn't work either. Myra tap the girl shoulder. Layla turn around. Myra whisper something to her ears, she blush when she heard that.

'Myra... you can't be serious', Myra just wink. She take her leave with one sentence.

'That's the only thing that ever make him follow anything', Layla just sigh. She didn't want to do it but if that's the only way.

'Ash', she call. Ash face her with his mouth shut protesting about the soup. Layla bring her face closer. Closing the space between them her blush become redder. Ash in the other hand still have no idea what she is doing. Thinking this as one of the bet. He close his eyes and keep his mouth shut. Ash feels a soft warm lips on top of his fore head. He open his eyes, surprise to see Layla kissing his fore head.

Ash quickly back away, making the space between them bigger. He could hear some whispers going around. He look at Layla, her face is sympathetic. It feels like she knows something that is hidden from him. Layla stand up, she walk over and stand in front of him. Out of the blue, she wrap her hand around his neck.

'It's okay, there's nothing you should be sad about Ash.' Layla face Ash. She smile with warm and kindness. Ash couldn't help but smile too. 'So how about the soup? Do you want it?'. Ash think for a second or two then he has this playful grin plaster all over his face.

'Sure if you feed me that is'. Layla smack his head.

'Idiot, that what I have been trying to do', Ash grunt.

'Is that how you treat people when they are sick'.

'I don't think that you are sick at all'.

Ash fork his tongue. Layla hiss. Myra shake her head. 'This wasn't suppose to happen'. Myra walk over to the couple.

'Hey Layla don't you think you being a little mean to Ash'.

'Hmph, being nice to that snotty brat wouldn't do me any good or harm'. Myra sigh, she knows very well that persuading Layla at a time like this is useless. She turn over to Ash. Instead of asking she let out a shriek.

'Ash, what happen!!!', Layla turn around quickly. She gasps, Ash lying of the floor breathing hard. She feels like her heart being pull out or something. Layla rush to feel his temperature. It's hotter than before. Tears start to come out, she don't know what will happen if Ash is gone. No more of his smile and his playful joke, that is the only thing that keep on repeating in her mind.

Everyone there is paralyzed. They freeze in their tracks. Layla pull Ash right hand and put it on top of her cheek. His breathing is getting slower.

'Hey Ash, you promise me that you will bring me to a beach and we will play all day right?'.

'You said no you promise to me that day. That night. You'll always be there for me. Remember? So you couldn't die no you shouldn't'.

Her tears start to fall even harder. In the nick of time Burn arrive with the medicine in his claws.

'Here take it. Let him drink only a portion of this.' Layla nod. She open the bottle. Layla pull Ash face a little higher and make him drink only a portion like Burn says and his flu become better.

'Thanks Bur-', everyone look at her with heart shape eyes.

'You guys make such a cute couple~', they fan girl. Layla sigh, now the guild will keep on talking about her and Ash. She will never hear the end of this.
